Mark Roth (born 1958) is an American biochemist, and director of the Roth Lab at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.[1] He is a professor at the University of Washington.[2][3]
He graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in 1979, and from the University of Colorado with a Doctor of Philosophy in 1984. He studies hibernation, and suspended animation.[4][5][6][7] He appeared at the 2010 TED conference.[8][9] He is married to Laurie; they had two daughters, one of whom died of a heart defect.[10]
